Information for Endeavour Group Trade Partners

What does this change mean for an Endeavour Group Trade Partner?

Endeavour Group is currently in the initial stages of its transition to MessageXchange as the new EDI platform, EDI Connect. A selected group of Trade Partners have been invited to participate as pilot partners in this transition process.

Trade partners who have not yet been contacted are not required to take any immediate action. All remaining trade partners will be formally notified in due course, with ample notice and comprehensive guidance provided to support a smooth and timely transition. We expect the transition for each Trade Partner to take approximately 3-4 weeks depending on their current setup and required integrations to internal ERP systems.

What’s changing?

For Endeavour Group Trade Partners using EDI
Once, Endeavour Group has transitioned to MessageXchange as its EDI provider, your EDI team or external provider will receive Purchase Orders from MessageXchange (rather than Woolworths as they do today) and they will need to send back Purchase Order responses, Advanced Shipping Notices and Invoices to MessageXchange (rather than Woolworths as they do today).

The Endeavour Group Message Implementation Guides (MIGs), which define the data formats for your EDI exchanges, will remain unchanged. However MessageXchange will be validating the data in the messages you send us to ensure they meet Endeavour Group’s standard. If your EDI provider exchanges data as described in Endeavour Group’s MIGs, there should be no message or mapping changes required.

As part of the transition away from Woolworths infrastructure, Endeavour Group will have a new EDI address (GLN) and new GLNs for all of their stores and distribution centres (DCs).

Given the technical nature of this, your VAN (EDI service provider) should be able to manage the migration to MessageXchange. We encourage you to reach out to your VAN if you have any technical questions.

All EDI Trade Partners will need to complete an EDI certification process before moving to the new EDI platform. Full details will be shared in advance of each supplier beginning their certification.

What to know

Information for EDI providers (VANs)

What do you need to do?

We’ve been in touch with VANs whose customers have chosen to be part of the pilot group of Trade Partners to transition.

All other VANs will be contacted with plenty of time for their customers to transition. The communications will include MIGs, next steps and contact details.

MessageXchange and Endeavour Group require each Trade Partner to conduct a short testing process before going live.

Will there be any changes to the Endeavour Group messages we exchange today?

The Endeavour Group’s MIGs will remain unchanged, except for GLN changes. This includes Endeavour Group’s EDI address and store and DC GLNs. You can find a complete list of store and DC GLNs below, as well as the Endeavour Group MIGs, which contain their test and production EDI addresses.
