MELBOURNE – December 1, 2020 – MessageXchange, a leader in business-to-business cloud integration solutions such as electronic data interchange (EDI) and eInvoicing, has been accepted as a supplier on the federal government’s Peppol eInvoicing Panel. The panel is made up of pre-selected eInvoicing-related service providers for government agencies.

In late 2019, MessageXchange was certified as the first Peppol Access Point service provider for eInvoicing in Australia and New Zealand by the Australian and New Zealand Peppol authorities, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) respectively.
MessageXchange’s access point (AP) and service metadata publisher (SMP), including any government eInvoicing gateways, use the MessageXchange cloud on the Microsoft Azure Central region, which is Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP)-assessed for government applications.

The federal government is looking to mandate eInvoicing for all Commonwealth agencies by 2022, which means agencies need to start looking at what’s next for them when it comes to eInvoicing.
