MessageXchange.com is not limited to particular sets of messages or subsets of standards enabling the greatest flexibility and applicability. MessageXchange.com enables new custom definitions to be configured from scratch and the customization of standards. In practice, trading partners often agree to customizations that suit their requirements.

Configuring a new payload or envelope for an XML message simply involves providing configuration information and optionally uploading the XSD (or DTD) if validation is required. Therefore, MessageXchange.com supports all the XML based message definitions available today.

Other message format types such as UN/EDIFACT, X.12 and RosettaNet PIP's can similarly be configured to suit requirements.
